Paz y Esperanza UK was set up in 2010 to raise awareness and support the work for justice and human rights in Latin America, principally in Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador.

The UK office liaises closely with the existing offices in these three countries as they work together with many vulnerable populations and those who have denied injustice.

In Ayacucho, in the Peruvian highlands, we support a team of lawyers and psychologists who are accompanying Quechua farmers whose lives have been affected by political violence during the political violence of 1980-2000. We work with them to offer emotional support as they rebuild their communities, as well as legal support in the fight to bring those responsible to justice.

In Santa Cruz, in the Bolivian rainforest, we support programmes that raise awareness about the endemic nature of domestic violence, and work with the church and other groups to tackle this problem. For more information on the projects we supports go to WHAT WE DO

We are keen to partner with individuals, churches, university groups and other organisations who want to join the global movement for justice in Latin America.

The Director of Paz y Esperanza UK is Graham Gordon and the other Trustees are Gordon Davies, Esther Stansfield, Suzanne Mautschke and Tineke Harris.
